THE STORY
Fortaleza is made in the old way near the town of Tequila: agave is slow-cooked in brick ovens, crushed with a stone tahona wheel and distilled in copper pot stills. The result is a rounded, buttery blanco with real depth.
Cooked agave, olive brine, citrus peel, black pepper.
Creamy and rich; agave, lime, white pepper and a touch of butter.
Long, peppery and gently sweet.
Aging process
Unaged blanco, bottled shortly after distillation.
Terroir & region
The lowland Tequila Valley, with red volcanic soil beneath the Tequila volcano.
